Binance Card Review
Best for: The Binance Visa Card is gone — a crypto card like Crypto.com is the live alternativeBinance discontinued its Visa crypto card in the EEA, UK, US and Latin America. Here's what happened, what the new regional Binance Mastercard does, and the best live alternatives.
Crypto.com Card Review
Best for: Still the best mainstream crypto card — but the rewards are a shadow of 2021A prepaid Visa that lets you spend crypto, with staking-based cashback. After 2025's cuts the top rate is 5% (not 8%), and you now need an active stake or a paid subscription to earn anything.
- +Free to issue, no monthly or annual fee
- +Lets you spend a crypto-funded balance worldwide where Visa is accepted
- +0% foreign-exchange fee at checkout
Crypto cards let you spend your cryptocurrency like cash — converting it to fiat at the point of sale, often with cashback. But the category has been brutal: rewards were slashed across the board, and several once-popular cards have been discontinued entirely. This 2026 guide ranks the cards that are still worth it, with the real current terms, and flags the ones that are gone.
Read this first: crypto-card rewards and availability change constantly, and cashback is paid in volatile tokens. Treat every rate below as "verify in the app before you commit," and never stake or lock up more than you can afford to lose. This is not financial advice.
Quick comparison (live cards, 2026)
| Card | Best for | Max rewards | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crypto.com | Overall | Up to 5% (top tier) | EEA, UK, US, 90+ countries |
| Wirex | International reach | Up to 8% in WXT (top paid tier) | UK, EEA, parts of APAC |
| Nexo | Borrowing against crypto | Up to 2% | EEA (UK: no cashback) |
| Coinbase | US beginners | "Up to 4%" variable | US only |
| Gemini | US rewards | 4 / 3 / 2 / 1% tiered | US only |
| Revolut | Crypto + everyday banking | Exchange benefits | EEA, UK, US + more |
1. Crypto.com Card — best overall (but a shadow of its old self)
The Crypto.com Visa card is still the most complete mainstream crypto card: available across the EEA, UK and US, with a clean app and lounge perks on higher tiers. Just go in clear-eyed — the rewards were cut hard.
- Cashback is now up to 5% (top "Private" / Obsidian tier, ~$400K of CRO staked), not the 8% you'll still see quoted on stale sites. Most users land in the 0–3% range.
- Since November 2025, you must have an active stake or a paid subscription to earn any cashback at all.
- Spotify and Netflix rebates remain (capped ~$13.99/month each); the Amazon Prime rebate was discontinued in November 2025.

2. Wirex — broadest international reach
Wirex is alive and one of the more widely available cards (UK, most of the EEA, and parts of APAC including Australia and New Zealand — but not the US). Cashback ("Cryptoback") is paid in Wirex's WXT token and ranges from around 0.5% up to 8% on the top paid tier — but the 8% is capped, requires a paid subscription, and comes with FX markups, so the headline number flatters it. Best for travellers who want one card across many countries.
3. Nexo Card — for borrowing against your crypto
The Nexo Card lets you spend against your crypto (Credit Mode) without selling, with up to 2% cashback in NEXO or BTC depending on your loyalty tier and portfolio size. Available across the EEA; in the UK the card still spends but no longer earns cashback (a regulatory phase-out), and physical cards have at times been paused in favour of virtual ones. Nexo re-entered the US in early 2026 after a regulatory settlement, but US card availability isn't confirmed — check directly.
4. Coinbase Card — simplest for US users
The Coinbase Card is a US-only Visa debit card that's beginner-friendly and converts crypto to fiat at checkout, with variable rewards marketed "up to 4%." Note that Coinbase also launched a separate "Coinbase One Card" (an Amex credit card with Bitcoin rewards) — don't confuse the two. No EEA/UK consumer availability.
5. Gemini Credit Card — US rewards card
The Gemini Credit Card (US only) pays tiered crypto rewards — roughly 4% on gas/EV/transit (capped), 3% dining, 2% groceries, 1% everything else — with no annual fee and instant payouts. Note: the sign-up bonus was removed in January 2026, and as a credit card it carries a high APR if you carry a balance.
6. Revolut — crypto plus everyday banking
Revolut isn't a dedicated crypto card, but it's the most practical option for many people: hold and trade 280+ tokens alongside a multi-currency account and card. You can't spend crypto directly on the card, but you can convert to fiat and spend that — and it's available far more widely than most crypto cards. See our Revolut review.
Discontinued — do not sign up for these
Several cards that still rank on older "best crypto card" lists are dead. If a site is still recommending them, that's a red flag:
- Binance Card — the Visa card with "up to 8% BNB cashback" was discontinued in the EEA and UK (Dec 2023) and Latin America / Middle East (Sept 2023). A new, lower-cashback Binance Mastercard exists only in a few non-EU/UK/US markets. See our Binance card update.
- Nuri (formerly Bitwala) — the "regulated EU bank account with Bitcoin interest" shut down after insolvency in 2022. See our Nuri alternatives guide.
- BlockFi Card — BlockFi filed for bankruptcy (Nov 2022) and wound down; the card is permanently dead.
- Monolith / TokenCard — the non-custodial card was shut down in October 2024.
How to choose
- In the EEA/UK and want one mainstream card: Crypto.com (for the app and lounge perks) or Wirex (for reach).
- Want to borrow against crypto instead of selling: Nexo.
- In the US: Coinbase (beginner debit) or Gemini (tiered credit rewards).
- Want crypto and a proper everyday account: Revolut.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which crypto card has the best cashback in 2026?
On paper Wirex's top tier (up to 8% in WXT) and Crypto.com's top tier (up to 5%) are highest, but both require large commitments (a paid subscription or ~$400K staked) and pay in volatile tokens. For most people the realistic, practical pick is Crypto.com at a lower tier or Revolut.
Are crypto cards still worth it after the rewards cuts?
For everyday utility — spending crypto without manually cashing out — yes. As a way to "earn" significant cashback, far less so than in 2021. Treat the rewards as a small bonus, not the reason to get one.
Which crypto cards have been discontinued?
The Binance Visa card (in the EEA/UK/US/LatAm), Nuri, BlockFi, and Monolith are all dead. Don't sign up for them.
